This original work brings together digital design, contemporary technology, and expressive hand-painted mixed media. The ornamental forms begin as my own designs, created digitally on the computer and then precisely cut with a laser. I incorporated them into a hand-painted mixed-media surface filled with expressive layers of orange, cobalt blue, green, white, and soft neutral tones.

The contrast between the energetic painted surface and precisely designed ornamental forms explores the relationship between movement and structure, spontaneity and precision, technology and craftsmanship.
